  • Situated in the foothills of Stellenbosch's iconic Simonsberg Mountain, Warwick's terroir offers the perfect confluence of elements to grow grapes of consistently outstanding quality. In the cellar, careful vinification yields fine wines with true varietal character and honest expression of their origin. We deeply cherish what nature has provided, and are committed to protecting and nurturing our land for generations to come, we dedicate our time and passion to ensuring quality in every facet of our craft. Each wine in the collection tells a small part of the Warwick story.

Professor Black loved his peaches. In fact, he would use Warwick land to carry out agricultural experiments involving peach trees for the University of Stellenbosch. Today, the peach trees are gone, but his legend lives on in a wine as vibrant today as he ever was.

In a country that makes as much Savvy Bee as South Africa, one needs to pick your sites carefully if you want to beat the rest. The Prof Black vineyards are high up in the foothills of the Simonsberg, with one of the blocks being 36 years old (that’s really old for Sauvignon). The wine carries an explosive vanguard of elderflower, nettles, ripe passionfruit, and lime. The palate is alive and zesty, with passionfruit and citrus elements lingering for days.
